Abstract
There are many techniques for fabricating a retrofitting abutment crown to an existing removable partial denture (RPD) in various clinical situations. The technique described in this article is useful in the limited situations when anatomy and contour need to be duplicated. In this case, the patient had an endodontic lesion. The crowns had to be removed and reproduced. The patient had no discomfort with the existing denture. The CAD/CAM Pd-Ag crowns (InnoviumTM, CeragemBiosis, Seoul, Korea) were fabricated using dual-scan technique which was simple and convenient for both patients and clinicians. It enabled the precise replication of the contours of the existing crown and ensures excellent adaptation to the RPD framework.
